The camera accurately detects and alerts on violation events such as no-plate vehicle detection, specific lane detection, reverse driving detection, black/white list detection, and general vehicle event detection. This makes it well suited to mission-critical road traffic management.
Traffic Flow Statistics
Vehicle counting results, based on vehicle type and other features, appear directly in the camera’s live view. The camera also generates useful reports to further support traffic management.
Evidence Camera Linkage
Beyond vehicle feature and license plate recognition, the Milesight AI Road Traffic Camera can link with regular cameras to capture supporting evidence. Seamless triggering between the traffic camera and a regular camera lets users provide solid, convincing evidence, including LPR results and overview snapshots.
LPR Smart Search and Plate Data Management
LPR smart search supports efficient event investigation and intelligent road traffic monitoring, with both manual and automatic export. A range of plate data management options also supports flexible deployment of Milesight traffic systems: standalone on-edge black/white list management enables fast barrier control, while integration with Milesight NVR, CMS, and VMS Enterprise forms fully closed-loop traffic solutions. Various CGI/APIs and protocols, including TCP and HTTP, also make it easy to push data to third-party VMS platforms.
Intelligent AI-Powered LPR Algorithm
The LPR function runs on a pre-trained deep learning model that continues training automatically. This generates reliable traffic insights that improve safety and mobility over time.

A 1/1.8″ starlight sensor delivers 0.005 Lux (color) and 0 Lux (black/white) sensitivity, ensuring strong performance for 24/7 traffic monitoring.
