The HID OMNIKEY 5022 secures the desktop side of access control — computer login and digital identity — using the same smart card credentials already issued for door access.

The OMNIKEY 5022 is a contactless high-frequency desktop smart card reader from HID’s OMNIKEY range, built for logical access: securing computer and network logins, email encryption and digital signatures. It reads the same 13.56 MHz smart card credentials used at the door, so staff can use one credential for both physical and computer access. OMNIKEY desktop readers are certified to PC/SC, WHQL, USB, CCID, EMV 2000 and Common Criteria standards, and support Windows, Linux and Mac OS.
