Mercury’s controller range splits into two current generations: the MP Intelligent series (MP1501, MP1502, MP2500, MP4502) is the latest platform with ARM TrustZone security, secure boot, and an app-development environment for edge deployments, while the LP Intelligent series (LP1501, LP1502, LP2500, LP4502) remains a fully current, actively supported line — both firmware families are unified under Mercury’s MercOS platform, and MP controllers run in a legacy compatibility mode so they can replace an existing LP controller without a host software change. Door and reader capacity scales across the range, from the LP1501/MP1501’s single-opening PoE+ footprint up to the 4502 models’ larger multi-door capacity, with the mid-range 2500 series scaling to larger networked deployments. All Mercury controllers connect to Mercury modules (/product-category/hid/mercury/modules/) for expansion and to compatible readers (/product-category/hid/mercury/readers/) at the door.
