Description
The Mercury LP1501 is a small-footprint, cost-effective intelligent controller for a single opening. It natively supports 2 readers, 2 inputs, and 2 outputs, and it is expandable to 17 doors/openings using downstream Mercury I/O modules and MR62e network-ready door controllers.
Power-over-Ethernet Plus (PoE+) delivers both data and power over a single cable. This removes the need for a separate power supply and home-run wiring at the door — a common specification for single-door or small-site deployments.
Security features include an embedded crypto memory chip, data-at-rest encryption, and OSDP protocol support for secure reader connectivity. The LP1501 shares the same interface and footprint as Mercury’s EP controllers, so it is a straightforward replacement.
Cardholder capacity is 240,000, with support for up to 130 inputs and 130 outputs. The LP1501 remains part of Mercury’s actively supported LP Intelligent series, running on the current MercOS firmware platform.
