Description

The AETEK 2E10-110-TX-V2 is a 1-port EPo2 TX adapter that delivers 802.3af/at/bt PoE++ output over existing two-conductor cabling. It reuses in-wall doorbell wire, telephone line, or generic 2-conductor cable instead of new Cat5e/6 runs. This makes it a practical retrofit tool for system integrators working in older buildings across Saudi Arabia.

How It Works

The 2E10-110-TX-V2 pairs with a matching 2E10-110-RX-V2 receiver unit at the far end of the run. The TX adapter accepts a 56VDC power input and passes both data and PoE++ power over the 2-conductor cable to the RX unit, which then powers the connected IP device. Setup is plug-and-play, with no software configuration required.

Power Output and PoE Standards

The adapter supports three PoE standards from a single port: IEEE 802.3af (PoE), IEEE 802.3at (PoE+), and IEEE 802.3bt (PoE++). It works over doorbell wire (18/20/22 AWG), telephone cable (24/26 AWG), and generic 2-conductor cable (23/24 AWG). For retrofit projects where pulling new structured cabling is impractical or too costly, this lets integrators reuse cable already in the wall.

Connectivity and Build

The adapter has one 10/100 Mbps Ethernet RJ45 port and a 2-pin terminal block for the EPo2 connection, supporting data rates up to 100 Mbps. It ships in a compact metal enclosure (85.4 x 47.1 x 27.0 mm, 0.2 kg) that supports wall mount or optional DIN-rail mounting. Status LEDs indicate PoE, LAN, power, and link state for quick field diagnostics.
